Bobby the Senior Labrador Retriever Mix at Halfway Home Animal Rescue Team

Our sweet senior Bobby has come a long way since his rescue after living life on a chain.

Bobby now knows comfort, warmth, love, and what it feels like to be truly cared for.

Thanks to a loving foster who took him in sight unseen, not knowing anything about him or his temperament, only knowing that he needed help, we now know all about this beautiful boy.

Bobby is gentle, he loves children, and truly gets excited when he sees them. Bobby is amazing at the vet, and is friendly to all strangers. Bobby is quiet and well-behaved at home. He is not at all destructive, and does not have a mean bone in his body. He reacts extremely well in any situation where he has encountered another dog.

Our precious boy was not at all house trained when we met him, but has made great progress in that department, and even lets his foster mom know when he has to go. Due to Bobby's diagnosis of Cushing's Disease, he does drink a lot, so it would be best if someone in his potential home were not gone for long periods of time every day.

Bobby has been neutered. Between that, and his Cushings meds kicking in, he is even more comfortable.

Bobby is truly special, and will continue to thrive in a home who appreciates and understands what hes been through, and how amazing he is in spite of his sad former life.
