Dixie the Senior Coonhound / Hound Mix at Real Dog Rescue

Meet Dixie! Our adorable 70 lb, 9 year old hound mix. Dixie came to us after her elderly owner was no longer able to care for her. She loves hanging out with her people or going for a walk. She will show off her tricks for a treat. She is extremely sweet and loving and prefers to spend her days curled up on the couch with her people. She is still active and enjoys her walks. She will use her voice for treats or food but is a good listener. If you are looking for an easy going, sweet girl, Dixie is your girl!

Emergency foster or adopter needed for this sweet older girl Dixie. Her elderly owner is ill and can no longer care for her and we would really like to help her find a new place to rest her head so she doesn’t end up in a boarding facility. Dixie is an older girl at about 9 yrs old and she has always been in a loving home. She loves everyone she meets and you can help but smile when you see her. Dixie has always been the only dog in the home and unfortunately does not share her stuff well with the other dogs so we are looking for a single dog household. We are very short on time for her so please share her and reach out asap if you may be interested.
