Gigi the Dutch Shepherd Mix at Eleventh Hour Rescue

The following is from the Eleventh Hour Rescue Facebook Post for Gigi on April 5, 2024:

Gigi was surrendered to us recently and very clearly has had litters of puppies in the past. Well NO MORE puppies for this girlie! She was spayed and is recovering in a temporary foster home but we’d love for her to have a home to go to after she’s healed up so she doesn’t have to go back to the kennel.

Gigi is a brindle Dutch shepherd but VERY chill. She’s absolutely phenomenal with other dogs. We don’t know about cats.

She’s honestly such an incredible dog and someone will be VERY lucky to have her as a companion.

Have you ever wanted a Dutch Shepherd… but not the intense qualities of one? Look no further!

Introducing GiGi! Gigi was surrendered to us this past weekend due to no fault of her own. This girl wants nothing but LOVE! She leans into you for affection and if you stop petting her for a second, she will nudge your hand to say ”Hey, I wasn’t done!”
Gigi met several dogs and was beyond tolerable with our boy Leo here. Any interested applicant who already has a dog would need to come in for a meet and greet to see if they are a good fit for each other! Gigi likes everybody she meets. She is ready to play and go for hikes, but this girl is also pretty lowkey and chill. She lived with kids in her previous home. We do not know how she is with cats.

She is about 4/5 years old and 75lbs (she is just chubby! She's pretty short).

Original Post:

Gigi is a 3.5 year old Dutch Shep mix that is currently about 75 lbs. She walks well on leash and is house trained. Gigi loves people and does well with other dogs. She will cry for a minute but then settles when left alone in or outside of her crate. This pretty girl enjoys car rides, walks nicely on leash and playing with toys. She knows basic commands like: sit, wait and lay down.

Gigi is a great dog that deserves a loving home.

Gigi is in Flanders, NJ.
