After unforeseen circumstances separated him from his beloved owner Maxx, a 9-year-old Belgian Malinois, is searching for his forever home. But don't let his age fool you—Maxx is full of life and ready to bring joy to your household! He's so smart and well-behaved and knows most commands too. He'd love a family with bigger kids, he's been cat tested and didn't seem to mind, he seems to prefer large mellow dogs.
He is fantastic on a leash, potty trained, and is a fetch-playing champ! He will return the ball right to you so you can throw it again 🥎

Where are all our Shepherd / Malinois Lovers? Meet MAXX, the distinguished gentleman shepherd looking for love ❤
This 9-year-old guy is fantastic on leash and totally potty trained. He knows of ton of commands and for some stinky treats he'll eagerly show you them. (sit, down, stay, paw, drop it) He is a fetch playing champ! He will return the ball right to you so you can throw it again and again and again 🥎. Unfortunately, his dad fell ill and will not be able to continue to care for this gentle giant.
MAXX would like to be your one and only. We think he'd fine with bigger kids too.
Sometimes he does take a bit to warm up - so you may need to visit twice if it's not an instant love-fest!
At 9, Maxx deserves to be in a home - not a kennel! He'd make a wonderful companion!!!!
The Humane Society - Tinton Falls is open daily from 12 - 4:30 for adoptions and closed on Wednesday.
