Sprocket the Golden Retriever Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Mix at NJSH Pet Rescue

Sprocket was surrendered to a local NJ shelter by his owners at just 8 months old.

He and his brother were purchased in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, the two puppies were too much for them. His brother was given away and Sprocket was surrendered to the shelter.

Sprocket is a Golden Cavalier and was so frightened at the shelter that we are just getting to know him now.

He is about 22 pounds, dog-friendly, and loves to play - he is barking at the cats in his foster home. So no cats for him! Sprocket is looking for a new start and a family who will give him all the love he needs. we are looking for a home with another dog for Sprocket and older considerate children only.

He was struggling there and the shelter reached out to us for help! How could we say no to this sweet face! Sprocket is currently in a loving foster home but we cannot wait to find him his forever home.

There are so many dogs that are purchased in Pennsylvania and wind up in the shelter.

Sprocket was purchased as a young puppy with one of his litter mates. He is a Golden Cavalier which is a Golden Retriever/King Charles Cavalier mix. What will they think of next??

Sprocket is just another mixed breed who wound up in a NJ shelter. At 8 months he was on his own and scared. He is playful, fun and loves other dogs. In fact we think another dog in the home would be best for him.
Sprocket is very friendly but can be frightened at times too - a home with older considerate children only please!!
