Tre - Special Needs Great Pyrenees Labrador Retriever Mix at Big Dog Rescue Project

The photos today don’t adequately tell the story of this brave, beautiful and resilient boy. Tre came to our rescue with a gunshot wound that shattered his femur. He was also completely covered in fleas and full of intestinal parasites, but by some miracle he was negative for heartworms. He weighed only 40 lbs which was about 20 lbs under his ideal weight. His leg was amputated, he was neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and put on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. He lost an additional 2 lbs due to the leg amputation, but now weighs just over 50 lbs after being provided good food and healthy snacks.

Tre’s staples have been removed, he is getting around well as a tripod and now ready to find his forever home.

Tre gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats and kids. He is crate trained and housebroken, walks well on a leash and is very quiet and calm in his foster home. Tre is believed to be a Great Pyrenees mixed with Yellow Lab or Golden Retriever. He is estimated to be almost 2 years old.

Tre is Friendly, Gentle, Affectionate, Independent, Quiet and good with dogs, cats, and children

Tre is up to date on vaccinations, spayed / neutered, and special needs
