Zack - Zealous Homebody & Absolute Sweetheart Terrier Beagle Mix at Wag on Inn Rescue

Zack is a sweet, special, handsome boy who is looking for a home. Zack is in a NJ foster home.

Zack is timid with new human friends but once you earn his trust he is a sweet and funny companion! A little sweet talk, yummy treats and patience goes a long way to win his heart. Zack is affectionate and playful and loves to snuggle with his foster mom or foster siblings. Zack loves other dogs and is good with cats too. Zack needs another companion dog in his foster home, we don't think he would do well as an only dog.

Zack may always be timid with new people so a quieter home would likely be best. This sweet boy is a real love! He's doing so much better on leash walks and car rides now. He is a funny, loving companion.

Beautiful Zack has been overlooked for a year because he is shy with new people 😞 He is a wonderful, Loving, awesome, well behaved dog who deserves a loving family or person. Zack has done so well and is now a regular at events. He's still nervous but he does better and better each time.

Zack is dog and cat friendly but is too nervous for young kids. He is about 4.5 years old and 22 lbs.

Zack has been waiting more than 351 days to find his forever home....

Zack may always be timid with new people so a quieter home would likely be best. The transition to a new home will likely be harder on him than some other dogs. He will need an adopter willing to take some precautions to keep Zack from escaping (double leash to martingale collar and harness outside of home, use of a drag leash and caution around doors, etc.) until he transitions to his new home. He is worth it though. This sweet boy is a real love!

He has been fixed, microchipped and he is up to date on vaccines. Zack was treated for heartworm in July-August 2022. His treatment is complete and just needs heartworm prevention and an annual heartworm test, same as any dog, moving forward. His adoption fee is $400.
